Press Release: The Terrace Theater, in association with its main sponsors, The Art Institute of Charleston, The Charleston Jewish Federation, Charleston Collegiate, Southern Wine and Spirits and Paolos Gelato are proud to present the 6th Annual Terrace Charleston Film Festival, March 12-15, 2015 exclusively at the Terrace Theater in Charleston SC. This year continues our tradition of emphasizing the highest quality films from around the world and around our neighborhoods. Content over quantity, the 6th Annual Terrace Charleston Film Festival, will shine as it opens our eyes and our hearts to wonderful journeys into cultures and topics rarely seen in the big box theaters. “The Terrace consistently strives to show the best movies at its festival each year. This year is no exception and we will host some festival favorites including all the Academy Award Nominated shorts and the best regional films.” chimed Festival Director and Terrace Theater owner Paul Brown. “Shunning the glitz, we will continue to bring in interested people surrounding the movies, from directors, actors and subjects of the films to interact with our viewers. This is a part of the festival that the Terrace is most proud of.” Locally, we will continue to offer free submissions for all filmmakers and a cash prize for best local film, of up to $2500 and a One week run at the Terrace. “It’s a continued pleasure to search the low country for, and to receive the best that our filmmakers have to offer” said regional programmer, Nicholai Burton, who returns for his 4th year with the festival.
