Pressure can be a destructive thing and it is most often extremely - TopicsExpress

Pressure can be a destructive thing and it is most often extremely uncomfortable, even at mild levels. Something that I have come to appreciate, however, is that it is often only when a situation becomes untenable that we are forced to find an alternative means by which to proceed. Avoiding change with the excuse of better the devil you know is not the easy way to live. It is much more like a frog bathing in luke warm water, not knowing that his bath is over a flame that will soon boil him alive. If that frog realised that he was under pressure - a life or death situation, he would have leaped to safety before it was too late. I have to be grateful for the pressure that has almost consumed me for many, many months because it forced me to risk trusting my own ability and judgement and to take a leap out of harms way. As much as I have wanted to scream and cry, I have reached this end of the working day with a new appreciation for my own strength, knowledge, abilities and tenacity. I also believe that I need to nurture this new found appreciation. Someone told me recently that I dont trust love because I dont love myself. I would like that to change.
