Pretty epic weekend. Saturday we hosted the Fan Expo After Party, which was awesome on many levels. Seriously high energy in the room, amazing sets from Evilyn XThirteenx, Todd Bussey and Seth Townsend, I fetl like I freaking killed it harder than ever during my sets, Tristan Risk and Bruce Wang got HUGE responses with the burlesque & boylesque numbers, The Ghostbusters of British Columbia crew did a phenomenal job helping host and co-ordinate the night, running the costume contests and helping raise $$$ for the BC Childrens Hospital Charity. Big thank you to Aaron Johnson & Catalina Al for helping with the setup at the last second! This event was pretty significant for me as well since it was the first full-on official event Ive booked into Club 560, and it looks like well be doing a few more throughout the year as we put some of our biggest and craziest parties into the venue. Its the venue for the Saturday night main event of VANCOUVER FETISH WEEKEND 2014! And to top it off, Giancarlo Esposito AKA Gus Fring from Breaking Bad showed up right near the end of the night, totally made time with all the hot ladies in our crew, and was totally cool taking photos with everyone. Madness! Sunday was a little rough pinging out of bed, loading up the car with a full sound system, lighting and DJ package - many thanks to Donnie Cordova for helping with that! Then it was off to the Vancouver Rowing Club to set everything up and provide DJ services for some friends wedding - huge congratulations to Dan Coburn & Every Day Is Halloween for a beautiful day of union. This was one of the most fun weddings Ive been a part of (and Ive been a part of MANY) - from the gorgeous venue to the swank goth/steampunk attire of the attendees, to the crazy 17-piece New Orleans carnival band that they hired. to the great vibe we had which basically was just like old school Sanctuary on a Sunday night with much of the same music and crowd coming together at a super fun party to cap the night off for a great couple. Special thanks also to Todd for helping out with the DJ sets and throwing down some fantastic tunes. After all that it was time to load everything up again, unload it from my car, have a drink back at home with some friends, finally crash at 3 AM before rising again at 6 and heading back our for a 13 hour day of work filming the finale of The Killing. My weekends are the farthest thing from restful, but holy heck, are they a lot of fun ;)
