Pretty exciting evening around here. I fell to the floor of the bathroom trying to make a transfer from my motorized chair to the toilet. Took an hour, four guys and a my home care lady to get me back up. So lots of thing got done today. My great friend and sister Cathy Hibberd drove me to Norco where we checked out the equipment Jame of Trinity Home Care services said we would need. Nice lady there helped us with the verbage needed to present the doctor so that we could get the equipment approved by Medicare. Then on to a visit with Dr. Start who wrote a prescription for all that I would need. I now have a commode (not sure I will ever be able to access a toilet again), a hoyer lift. and other durable medical equipment. I am hoping Norco will deliver tomorrow. David and Heather brought my pickup to Jan so she could pick up a movable commode/shower chair from a fellow ALS patient in Boise. She came all the way to Weiser to deliver, made dinner for us and then left about 7:30 for her home in Boise. I have the best of friends. So much accomplished and so much that needed to be accomplished after the fall. Time will tell if I will have use of my legs again. I am uncertain. I hope that I will, but who knows. I had hoped to see my granddaughter play a soccer match in Boise Sat. at 9 am but that looks like a blown plan. Dang!! Well life does go on. I sure did enjoy my visit with Dr. Stark, my day with Cathy and that wonderful visit from Jan. How I love her.
