Pretty exciting morning! As head of the missions committee, I was happy to have our annual nut sale finished today! Great service today celebrating unity day... Coming right after we saw Selma! Plus the top girls vocal group from walled lake western h.s. provided the music for the service...music from girls of every size, color of skin and hair, working together beautifully to share their talents. At least eight orchard kids have been part of the walled lake western vocal music dept over the years and we have enjoyed the fruits of their labors. AND our new senior pastor, as of July, was announced. Her name is Amy mayo-moyle and she will come to us from clarkston UMC with high recommendations. Her transfer is the beginning of a domino-effect change of pastors that always occurs in summer with retirements, new assignments and graduations causing changes! I think this will be the first time elementary aged children will live in that parsonage...there have been teens before but no younger kids. Exciting times ahead!
