Pretty sure today was a record for the amount of calls I ever received concerning gestating females. 4 in total. Stray pregnant cats about to burst soon or dumped by their irresponsible owners that never got them spayed so they became a real nuisance once they went into heat. This is happening right here in Montreal folks. As much from the posh areas than the hoods. Nothing can be done. Were already full. Our current kittens are getting all of the attention at adoption days but not all will be adopted quickly. Once they no longer look like kittens, their chances of getting noticed are greatly reduced. Meanwhile our older cats pretty much stand zero chance at being adopted yet they are by far the most qualified candidates for adoption since they are already well socialized house cats thanks to their foster families. Will this vicious cycle end in my lifetime I wonder?
