Pretty surprised this made Forbes. This is some serious eDrama that went down last weekend. However, the Forbes article is incredibly inaccurate. tldr; nerds got mad about a gray zone in the rules / ethics of a video game in the context of a professional tournament. drama abounded. A few points: 1. they were using it to boost one player to a glitched-out portion of the map where they couldn’t be killed and had a full view of the entire map Wrong on both counts. Olof got hit by Happys Galil in the later rounds (13-13 maybe?) and took damage. Also, Olof could only see the middle part of the map, not the edges (e.g. long A still hidden). 2. I think both Dreamhack and fans were in the right here to immediately crack down on this kind of thing even if “using exploit 3AA356″ wasn’t an exact passage in the rulebook. Fnatic was pixel walking, which is clearly against the rules of the tournament. Did this guy even research more than 10 minutes about what happened? 3. Even Fnatic figured out they really didn’t have a leg to stand on in the end, and I have to think they never really thought they’d get away with it. JW himself says they didnt think it was wrong and so therefore they definitely thought they would get away with it: reddit/r/GlobalOffensive/comments/2ny2l1/sources_fnatic_was_forced_to_forfeit_by_their/cmi1qxg
