Pretty tough day up at Kilmore with just the 1 winner along with 3 placings. Here are the reviews: KILMORE Race 1 - Ruperton (2nd, $1.30) Was slow out but was able to work up midfield off a hot speed, joined in strongly on the bend but the winner tracked him everywhere and was able to reel him in late. Race 4 - Oceanographer (4th) Looked to have every possible chance but just whacked away in the straight. Race 5 - Sound King (1st, $6.50 TOP FLUC) Given a really nice ride off the speed, worked to the outside on the bend and was just too strong for them over the concluding stages. Has come back in good form this prep. Race 6 - Get Pronto (2nd,$1.50) Every possible hope. They went quickly early but he ended up sitting off the leader, looked to have it covered when he went past it in the straight but was pretty weak late when the eventual winner kicked back inside him. Race 7 - Angelou (3rd) They walked in front, she was left terrible flat footed when the sprint when on and was never a winning hope. Race 8 - Chapare (-) Jumped on of the faves but he just went horribly. Missed the start by 2L, could not keep up with the hot speed early, was under pressure coming down the hill and was beaten a very long way. Did plenty wrong and may just not have handled the wet track but i could not be backing him next time off that effort.
