Pro to 1999, the fourth republic which mark the beginning of Democratically elected civilian government and d current running Democratic dispensation. PDP being the major party as at that time somoured all d political stakeholder from d various geopolitical zone to plan how a concrete and formidable arrangement would be made regarding how Nigeria would be governed to avoid friction, marginalization, domination of d majority by d minority. Consequently an agreement was reached by d then political elder statesmen under d platform of d PDP and rotation formulae strategy for d presidency was adopted. This was to allow all the geopolitical zone and ethnic group to have an identity and a sense of belongness. This was what usher General Olusegun Obasanjo as d first democratically elected president as a consensus candidate, from the south west. The arrangement was that after OBJ must have completed his 8 year term in office, power will then rotate back to d north. Of which OBJ did by bringing in the late president who was from d North. But unfortunately, he could not complete his term in office and he died as a result of his ill health. Consequently to his demise it was demanded by d constitution to substitute Jonathan as d President since he was d vice President, of which after d expiration of his boss tenure he re-contested and won. Thus some persons have said it was his constitutional right to re-contest , no doubt I am not disputing that fact at all. But on moral ground and laying credence on d fact that there was a well laid down arrangement structure by d PDP on rotation of power and also for d respect of d PDP constitution and to allow peace and political stability in d country to rain, he would have at least respect d rotation arrangement for d seek of peace and step aside for the north to complete their tenure for 8 year in spite d fact he claimed dat some persons were mounting pressure on him to contest. then d south east would have come as d president before it would get to d turn of d south to rule, this was d arrangement. Which would have gone a long way to forestall d series of pervasive insurgency presently evident in Nigeria. Let me quickly state this fact here! Boko Haram sect and other militia group from d north are product of Jonathan emergent as d President. Politics is based on interest, whether u like it or not the north are aggrieved that they were not allowed to complete their tenure. This was what brought d issue of Boko Haram at d first instance. Whether u agree or not d emergence of Boko Haram is politically motivated and not religious as it is widely propagated. The name was strategically plan as a disguise to deceive Nigerians. Jonathan as a result is therefore not that all good as people are claiming it is. He is greedy, egocentric and power drunk. He committed d same offence dat other previous president have committed of seat tight syndrome in office. My assertion therefore is that, Jonathan being aware of d fact that he is d curse of the increasing insurgency in the country, the thousands of death of Nigerians in d North lunched by d Boko Haram sect on Nigerians yet he his still very much ready to run for a second term, is a clear indication that he his greedy, self-centered and evil impersonified. Secondly he took d opportunity of hijacking power, distorted the rotational arrangement and want to install himself in power indefinitely and perpetually. Thirdly, he lack d vigor and rigor to continue to pilot d affairs of dis country. From his assessment so far in d past six year, he had failed and has not performed. Fourthly, he infiltrated the whole country with corruption, which have further weakened our institutions and have made us a laughingstock in global community, of which have gone a long way to tarnish and ridicule our highly esteemed image. Whether we agreed or not military has been adjoined the best and most sophisticated institution in d world. Military officers are well trained and equipped in all endeavors and career. In terms of defence and d protection of d territorial integrity of d nations or in terms of administration and good governance, named it. This is the much reason we the progressive are advocating for a discipline General like Buhari, that have experience on d act of war and how to combat insurgency, fight corruption and repositioned our military force that have became a manipulative tool in d hand of Boko Haram, so that they could once again be able to performed their primary functions of protecting the territorial integrity of Nigeria.
