Probably a bit trivial, but Im getting tired of agendas being pushed into anime conventions. Be it politics, economics, religious, or sensitivity groups. Last I checked, we discuss anime and any other moderately geeky subject pertaining to media. Ive seen people on forum boards trying to press for Palestinian sympathy tables. Ive seen people hold religion panels on Sunday or what ever. And of course feminism is in full effect with, CONsent, or cosplay=\=consent. Does anyone remember the whole Kony2012 thing? Remember how that was a huge discussion? I remember one girl wanting to push an awareness table at conventions. Its absolutely ridiculous. REGARDLESS of my personal opinions on these topics, and REGARDLESS of others personal opinions, I think there is a time and place for all of it....just not at an anime convention. Talk to me about SAO2. Or Legends of Zelda. Or the Sailormoon remake. Or how much you hate Call of duty. Or how Goku can beat superman. Dont talk to me about the increasing violent Islamic growth in the Scandinavian countries. Time and place people.
