Probably best known as guitarist for 70s folk-fusion band Pentangle, John Renbourn also has a separate career as a solo artist, and our local college station played the title track from his 1979 album The Black Balloon this weekend while I was listening. Ive listened to it several times since, fascinated by the interplay between flute and acoustic guitar (a combination Ive always found especially moving).
