Probably not gonna win any friends or change anyones mind--but hey--itll give you something to talk about....or ignore.... Capsule Review of what I saw.... 1. Blue Devils will be unbeatable. Show is far too complicated and sophisticated. But its FUN. And I applaud them. Some truly INCREDIBLE moments. 2. Cadets....my visual eyes are being challenged because I have been told that there visual package has inherent visual difficulty. I say, Yeah...for a high school band in the early 2000s. Seriously? Im NOT seeing what is so special about that show. Music is just....zzzzzzzzz.....and the America theme is forced. Not a fan this year. 3. Bluecoats...if they can pull off the ending of their show on Saturday night in front of a packed house with FULL OUT raw a** emotion...I predict Lucas Oil Stadium will collapse. Yeah. Its THAT good. And they should be KILLING Cadets. 4. SCV.....I love the show. Musically. Visually there are many moments of great staged effects and BEAUTY. Other times....((blink blink))....I didnt get it. 5. Crown....brass mastery. Visual...blah. Show concept....nothing will top last year. NOTHING. But many many great things out there. But its just not nearly clean enough. 6. Cavaliers....they should win the Can We Just Forget Last Year, We Were Only Kidding award (the other name for the award would be MOST IMPROVED). WOW!!! Im REALLY happy to see them be who they are supposed to be. THANK YOU. And never do what you did last year.....ever.....again. Thats all for now....just my Top 6. Ohhhhhhh....the broadcast itself was great with a minor glitch with an on field camera, and the crew was....well....ok I guess. There seemed to be this air of discomfort, except for Will Pitts (???). Hes pretty cool...former PR DM. Cool dude.
