The School of Creative Media (SCM) at City University of Hong Kong is recruiting academic faculty within its broad scope of creative endeavors. Led by Dean Professor Jeffrey Shaw, SCM is the leading media school in Hong Kong and the foremost advocate and incubator of new media and creative arts in Asia. We have an international faculty of world renown for their creative endeavours. Specific needs exist in the following priority areas: Digital Animation Photography (and expanded photographic practices) Arts Administration Media Performance Directing and Cinematography Game Design and Production We offer teaching loads commensurate with the requirements of a research university and start-up research grants (for substantiation-track appointees) Ample opportunities exist for professional development. Candidates with interdisciplinary research and teaching interests are especially welcome. Requirements Interested candidates should possess a PhD and must be able to demonstrate creative and research ability or significant potential. Those with a nearly completed PhD will be considered for the position of Assistant Professor. Candidates with prior academic experience must also demonstrate effectiveness in teaching. Salary and Conditions of Service Remuneration package will be driven by market competitiveness and individual performance. Excellent fringe benefits include gratuity, leave, medical and dental schemes, and relocation assistance (where applicable). Initial appointment will be made on a fixed-term contract.
