Professor Peter Piot, the man who first isolated the Ebola virus in 1976, gave this half-our interview with Chinas state-run CCTV Africa. Dr. Piot calls the outbreak in West Africa the perfect storm - citing a combination of post-war chaos, a belief in witchcraft, weak public healthcare systems and endemic corruption. He calls for a rapid and massive concerted global effort to isolate the infected. He also cites the remarkable success of the experimental drug ZMapp.
