Profiting With Tongues Topic 6; Making the profits with Tongues... It is interesting to note that all the manifestations of the spirit are given, to us and through us so that profits can be made with them... they are not just there, for display or for show, they are for profits... Thats why I fell in love with this series... Its about making the profits... Permit me to copy out this scripture again... 1 Corinthians 12: 7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. 8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues: So the gifts of the spirit can be listed as follows - the word of wisdom - the word of Knowledge - Faith - Gifts of healing - workings of miracles - prophecy - discerning of spirits - diverse kinds of tongues - interpretation of tongues Dont count, it is not so ideal to count, the word didnt call it nine gifts of the spirit... Verse 7 says the manifestation of the Spirit IS given to profit with, Not that the manifestationS of the spirit ARE given... All the manifestation of the spirit is the same one and Holy spirit thats functioning depending on what is needed par time... As a matter of fact, the manifestation of the spirit is not limited to the list above... What the spirit can do in us and through us is unsearchable... It is endless... It is what paul called the manifold wisdom of God and the unsearchable riches of Christ What about Creative abilities? What about having divine ability to rightly divide the word of truth, what about being able to disappear in a place and be in another place by the spirit... What about visions and revelations? What about casting out devils by mere staring at the demon possessed? And do you see Faith in the list? Yeah! Faith is in the list, and tell me which of the manifestation can be without faith....? NOW without faith it is impossible to please God, and it is thesame spirit of faith that speaks in tongues through us and heal the sick through us... Now come to think of it, those who say tongues is a gift, that not everyone has it... Arent they making a serious mistake? If faith is also a gift, I think they could have as well said faith is a gift that not everyone can have... Everyone, every believer should have faith and be able to speak in tongues too.... For if anyone have not the spirit of Christ, He is none of His.. Romans 8:9 and the spirit of Christ is the spirit of faith, and because we have the spirit of faith, 2cor.4:13 WE SPEAK... And what do we speak? We speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, which have been ordained before the world unto our Glory...1cor.2:7 And the Bible says when we speak in tongues, he says we speak Mysteries unto God... 1cor 14:2 isnt that Glorious? I observed that every other gift could edify others except the gift of tongues... And it is only the gift of tongues that has a continual, systematic and increasing effect on the one that manifests it... Every other gift can Bless others; can comfort, exhort and edify the church... But the speaking in tongues aspect is exceptionally for the edification of the person manifesting it alone... Now it may be contagious, because I have contacted speaking in tongues several times, by mere hearing someone else speak, I too just picked up speaking, thats why it is blessed to keep good company, people who makes you feel like praying, people who makes you feel like studying the word... And I do the same to them too Thats why it takes love to be ready to edify others... Love plus tongues, produces the other manifestation, for LOVE itself is a spiritual gift(the best one) 1cor 12:31, you say; but Love is a fruit of the spirit.... Yes, Faith is both a gift and a fruit too.. All of these things are virtues that the Holy Spirit produces in us, depending on how much demand we can lay on them by stirring them up Speaking in tongues edifies the person speaking it... And thats very BIG Lets take a look at some scriptures 1 Corinthians 14:4 4 He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth edifieth the church. 5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying. 6 Now, brethren, if I come unto you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, except I shall speak to you either by revelation, or by knowledge, or by prophesying, or by doctrine? You see, someone who is speaking in tongues is only doing himself good for doing so... If all you have been reading is just some transcribed tongues, it would have done you no good... But the person doing it was Blessed and edified doing so... But with other gifts, I can Bless others, whether by prophecies, or revelations or by Knowledge... But here is a mystery; I can only Bless you because I am Blessed... The scripture says the less is blessed of the greater... So there is no such thing as edifying others without being first edified yourself... There are some messages that I have heard, that I cant just recover from, these are messages that the preacher had deliberately brooded upon in his closet with tongues as of fire, hence the lasting impact, thats why it will burn in the heart of anyone that hears it... It is clear; verse 4; He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; thats it... It is when youre edified that you can cause changes, it is when that which is in you is stirred up to overflow upon you that power can be available to cause evident changes, that is only when faith confessions will not be mere positive thinking, but heavy currents of Gods power 2timothy 1:6 That is why I would remind you to stir up (rekindle the embers of, fan the flame of, and keep burning) the [gracious] gift of God, [the inner fire] that is in you by means of the laying on of my hands [with those of the elders at your ordination]. Amp. He calls it the inner fire... The Holy Spirit... That when you pray in tongues, you stir yourself(a holy spirit) up... You fan the flame of yourself, you become hot and burning, you remember heb 12:29? It says Our God is a consuming fire... And 1john 4:17 adds that as God is so are we... A consuming fire at that... So when your inner fire is stirred, when it is well fanned, I tell you, you can change any condition... You can burn off any manifestation of darkness, you can melt any obstacle... All you gotta do is get somewhere and fan it... Fan it... It is profitable to do so... Wait to finish this before you start... It got me thinking to read that the believers who first spoke in tongues had something appeared on them; like cloven tongues as of Fire... No wonder John said Jesus came to baptise us with the Holy Ghost and fire... Thus; while every other gift edifies others, speaking in tongues must of necessity be treasured as the one that edifies you personally... It brings you vitally into the reality of what the word of God talks about... For instance, if youre a believer, and your body dare show a symptom of one disease, all you got to do is take up the scripture that says by his stripes you are healed, and then speak in tongues, keeping your mind on that truth as you do so until you begin to feel like what the word says... Or are you lusting recently, and you are finding it hard to control...? Get 2pet 1:4 he said we having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust... You see? The world says you have long escaped the corruption that works by lust into faith that works by love..., so you pray in tongues until you see yourself in the reality... Thats our life... When Jesus got to the tomb of lazarus, He wept john 11:35... I dont care the reason why he wept, but I read that he wept, he showed feeling for whatever thing you might think it is... He was so unhappy that he sobbed... But he didnt stop there... He moved toward the problem, he dared the challenge, But he also GROANED... Oh Glory... John 11:38 Jesus therefore again groaning in himself cometh to the grave. It was a cave, and a stone lay upon it.39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. I dont know if the groaning meant that Jesus was speaking in tongues... And if he was, who would have known?, the only word they would have used for it is Groan... Jesus also groaned before performing many other miracles Romans 8:26 says our spirit prays with groaning, and 1cor. 14:14 says when I pray in unknown tongues, my spirit prays... So the way for us to groan today is to speak in tongues Jesus groaned in himself, he fanned himself up, it was necessary because faith doesnt work with negative emotions as pity or fear or remorse. Jesus had to groan in his spirit... And while he does, I can feel the strength of his command as he said to the onlookers, TAKE AWAY THE STONE!!! The rest is a story... I dont know that thing that always make you weep... I dont know that thing that makes you blush... But I know that you can stir up the inner fire that is in you, you can make some profits now... As you pray in tongues, first accept that condition as a reality, but which is susceptible to change, and then Brood in tongues over it, pray in tongues, until in your spirit you cant trace the issue again... And go ahead and release words of power... Tell the tumor to disappear and it will, tell the discharge to cease and it will... Tell the ache to be gone, and it will... The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working]. James 5:16b AMP That earnest prayer... That heartfelt and continued prayer that you, the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus prays, MAKES tremendous power available and it is DYNAMIC in its workings.... It changes things at will... Thats it... Thats the profit... The manifestation of the spirit is given you to profit with... So make the profits... 2 Corinthians 5:4 For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. You see that? He says when you groan, he says without having to die, you will put on immortality... No wonder he says through the gospel Christ has brought immortality to light... I dont feel like bullets can pierce my body, because by ceaseless praying in tongues, I have put on immortality... No wonder I dont fall sick... He says so that mortality might be swallowed up of life... Not after rapture, but even now... God want you to be clothed with so much life that no sickness can thrive in your body, that no physical or spiritual weapon fashioned against you can prosper... Romans 8:10 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you. You see? Romans 8:10 is actually supposed to go this way; And if Christ be in you, though the body is dead because of what sin has done to it, but the spirit gives it LIFE because righteousness is now imparted to you... Because if the Spirit of Him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you... He that raised up Christ from the dead shall also Give Life to your mortal bodies by the spirit of God that dwells in you... That mortal body will put on immortality Thats why I am always quick to speak in tongues, because I know that the way my spirit can get to be stirred up so much as to liven my body is to make it Pray... Ephesians 6:18 with all prayer and supplication praying at all seasons in the Spirit, and watching thereunto in all perseverance and supplication for all the saints, Ephesians 6:18 But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed upon me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me. 1Corinthians 15:10 I thank my God, I speak in tongues more than ye all 1cor.14:18 Blessings!!!
