Project Rebirth works with the Kansas National Guard (KNG) & the U.S. Army to create programs for overcoming trauma and building resilience among active duty military personnel & Veterans. This week we are all over the state of Kansas refining our collaborated training product and Rebirth film curriculum resilience tools. This week, we are meeting with the KNG Resiliency Training Center in Topeka, speaking with Brigadier General Robert Windham, Fort Riley, KNG Commander and individuals from the Kansas House of Representatives - its definitely another busy week for our team! Born out of the trauma of 9/11, Project Rebirth’s programs and curriculum have proven highly effective in facilitating discussion about the processes of grieving, healing and finding new strength in the wake of tragedy and loss. Our programs give participants the tools to return to their communities and share what they’ve learned. The need to help our military heroes and their families cope with the challenges they face is well known and the scope of that need is daunting. Project Rebirth is dedicated to empowering members of the military community to better cope with their own grief and loss, to develop an effective approach to building resiliency and to then share the key points of this training.
