For the information of the people of Salcedo, it was only in Salcedo that has the repair of the public market and the municipal building, while others are talking around new constructions and relocations and the amount ranges around 10-30Million pesos for the same public infra in some other municipalities, ours is the least from among the Affected Yolanda Municipalities. they were saying it was based on the report that the Municipality gave to them. But God knows i did not reported such amount. I dont know from my colleagues. But as far as i am concerned i dont have the knowledge whatsoever what happened why the small amount, in fact before, we were updated in our submission of our rehabilitation and recovery framework and and even our reports. Its good that our covered court was included in the first phase of the new constructions. They gave us 6Million Pesos and our legislative building has already the requat for funding for 30Million Pesos. they were saying they will prioritize salcedo. Even then i am already looking for possible donors who will help us (like AMURT_KNH) in the improvement of our public market----its total renovation- because our old public market is already ruinous…. i dont have to beg from the government what is rightfully belong to my people, i dont want to depend on the assistance of the government….. its very slow, there are a lot of requirements and it requires the LGUs resources just accomplishing the requirements. The people of Salcedo cannot wait. I hope the one UP there will stay in salcedo, in guiuan, in mercedes, in quinapondan etc...so that they will be able to see the real situation of the people. If the rain comes knowing that there are who do not have houses, no livelihood, no conducive school buildings for the pupils… it really break my heart…...I hope that they will be enlightened. We the mayors can only assist based on our available resources, we cannot do it alone. What we are praying is to just give us the money especially for the housing and other programs in the rehabilitation and recovery plan of our Municipality so that we can move forward, i am willing to give up my post and be imprisoned if a competent court would declare that i squandered that government money. Its better to be imprisoned helping rather than imprisoned stealing.
