Prophet Mohammed (SAW) imaginary photo triggers violent protest in Odisha Bhubaneswar, Jan 15: Publication of an imaginary photograph of Prophet Mohammed (SAW) in a vernacular daily on Tuesday triggered widespread and violent protest by the minority community in many places in Odisha. In Cuttack, the agitated community members pelted stones at the newspaper and damaged some property for publishing the photograph of Prophet Mohammed. The editor of the newspaper tendered an unconditional apology for the incident and the police arrested one sub editor under section 153,295 and 501 of the IPC for insulting and hurting the religious sentiment and also for fomenting enmity.
