Props to POLITICO for giving a great shout-out to WPA partner Chris Perkins. “Some Republicans thought the Georgia Senate race was destined for a runoff until David Perdue’s pollster, Chris Perkins of Wilson Perkins Allen Opinion Research, told the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) that he had his client ahead by eight points, Perdue’s eventual margin of victory. That contradicted not only the public polling, which only showed Perdue pulling ahead in the final two weeks of the campaign, but also other Republican polls, which generally just showed Perdue up by a point or two.” (Steve Shepard, “The GOP’s Numbers Problem)
