Prospective Board Candidate Nicole Causley in Support of Racism Nicole Causley “I believe it is better to take small, careful, steps in the direction you wish to go versus jeopardizing the whole. Would you throw a grenade into a building of 100 people to get one person? OR would you wait patiently for the 1 person to exit the building and use your rifle. Additionally, if you think I would have nothing to offer: you might want to double check that perspective with people around you, and remember, ask my neighbors, the ones who live on nothing and know how to prioritize needs versus wants, who understands what community means and realizes and appreciates the values within each individual, regardless of mistakes made... because when it all boils down_ we are all human, we all make mistakes, and no one is perfect. And those of us who understand that community and humanity are one in the same_ would not throw the grenade in the building of 100 people to get the one person: they would work together and wait to get the one person.” Charles Donald Forgrave TX’s for writing, Nichole. But I really dont understand your analogy; if you want to be community, you need to abandon your support for the racist 1/4 blood quanta requirement set by the state of Michigan and upheld by the tribe for the Tuition Waiver. Instead, you need to work to share the wavier fairly with the neighbors in your community. Your incremental approach of one small step at a time is the same approach used by politicians for the past 79 years. It’s the same argument used by the board today and used by them for the past 9 years to delay and to destroy the new constitution…written for the people and by the people themselves. It’s called stalling and obstructing. By the way Nicole, have you benefitted from the tuition waiver?
