Protests in Turkey! Erdogan and the Muslim Brotherhood - An End Time Love Affair! By Craig C. White By now I am sure that you have heard about the protests in Istanbul Turkey. The people are protesting a number of things, but their complaints boil down to disagreement with stricter Islamic government policies. The city folk tend to disagree with their government while the suburbs wholeheartedly agree with the direction that their government is leading them. Istanbul is a nice place. It has a population of some 14 million, which is big! Istanbul is the historical and cultural center of Turkey. The city of Istanbul spans from Europe to Asia. It is where East meets West, and is largely westernized. By now you have probably also been introduced to Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan. He has been prime minister since 2003, and has pulled Turkey into further Islamisation. Some Turks don’t like his policies, but Prime Minister Erdogan is by far the most popular politician in Turkey. Also let’s not forget that Erdogan has been wildly outspoken against Israel. Let me tell you about Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan’s love life. For the past several years he has had an on-again, off-again affair with the Muslim Brotherhood. Erdogan and the Muslim Brotherhood share similar world views. They both foresee a Muslim led world Empire in their futures, but they do have their differences. While the Muslim Brotherhood expects an Islamic Caliphate with themselves at the controls, Erdogan envisions a restored Turkish centered Ottoman Empire (1299 – 1922 AD) with himself at the head. How will these two ever get along? In case you haven’t noticed, the Muslim Brotherhood has systematically overthrown one Middle Eastern government after another. Their goal is one Middle East under Muslim Brotherhood control. They have had their eyes on acquiring the nation of Turkey for some time. This is no secret. Prime Minister Erdogan is fully aware of their covetous. The Muslim Brotherhood has toppled Libya, Egypt, and almost has Syria in their clutches but not quite. The ragtag anti-Syria militia is outclassed by the proper Syrian Army. If the Syrian Army has been a challenge for the Muslim Brotherhood then imagine their chore in overthrowing the mighty Turkish Army. It will be next to impossible. I know it, you know it, and the Muslim Brotherhood knows it! As a matter of fact, the Muslim Brotherhood knows that they will need Turkey’s help in overthrowing Syria’s government. The Muslim Brotherhood likes to exploit civil unrest to turn it into a coup. Turkey now has to deal with protests just like all of the other beleaguered Middle Eastern nations. Knowing the methods of the Muslim Brotherhood, Erdogan will not allow these protests to flourish. They will be met with a strong hand. They may also be met with something else; cooperation with the Muslim Brotherhood. Turkey may soon agree to terminate the current Syrian government. The Muslim Brotherhood will get what they want, which is power in Syria. Erdogan will get what he wants, which is political capital with the Muslim Brotherhood. The Muslim Brotherhood has both criticized as well as praised Prime Minister Erdogan’s leadership in the past. They especially like Erdogan when he speaks out against Israel. I think that Erdogan will emerge from all of this as an autonomous Middle Eastern leader. This is no small task. He will be somewhat in alignment with the Muslim Brotherhood but at the same time his own man. I am not a columnist covering world events. I am a bible prophecy teacher. The Antichrist is labeled as “the Assyrian” in Isaiah chapter 10 and elsewhere. The ancient Assyrians attacked Syria and then northern Israel in 734 BC. Latter they returned and attacked southern Israel in 701 BC. These battles serve as models for two similar end time battles described in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. They are called the battles of Gog and Magog. They are led by the “primary governor” (Ezekiel 38:2-3) of Turkey. Eze 38:1-3 And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, 2 Son of man, set thy face against Gog, the land of Magog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal, and prophesy against him, 3 And say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I am against thee, O Gog, the chief prince of Meshech and Tubal: In Ezekiel 38:5 Turkey leads Iran, Libya, and Sudan against Israel. All of these forces are gathered today in Syria. If Turkey invades Syria decimating Damascus, and then leads these forces into Israel; well then we have all entered into the end time with a vengeance! Remember that the end time invader of Israel called “the Assyrian” is the Antichrist. Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan is emerging as the prime candidate to fulfill that position!
