Proverbs 12:19-20, Opening verse from church Sunday. I have had this on my heart since then, and feel called to share so here goes! Reading all of Proverbs 12 a couple of times I have expanded on 19 and 20 a bit. NIV 17 An honest witness tells the truth, but a false witness tells lies. 18 The words of the reckless pierce like swords, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. 19 Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue lasts only a moment. 20 Deceit is in the hearts of those who plot evil, but those who promote peace have joy. 21 No harm overtakes the righteous, but the wicked have their fill of trouble. 22 The Lord detests lying lips, but he delights in people who are trustworthy Following this bit of scripture, would make life so much easier, marriages much stronger, and would allow no room for Edens serpent to slither in and corrupt. Is this fleshen trait inherited from Eve, why did she not tell Adam of her conversation with the serpent? The serpent, well we all know is satin the most crafty in trickery and ill will. Truth will set you free, yes and truth will never bind. Is it possible to have an earthly relationship were nothing is hidden we know what God knows, no small lies are told, to speak about whats on our minds instead of saying Im Fine or Nothings wrong, or just keeping it in, and have it not turn into an argument, or the other getting hurt. I dont know if we can ever reach that state in fleshly form. Through Jesus ALL things are possible, with faith of just a mustered seed we can move a mountain, SO, hypothetically, yes It would seem this level of relationship is achievable. I mean we have that relationship with Jesus so why not with our Spouse, Family, and Friends. Thanks for reading God Bless Comments are Welcome
