Proverbs 2:6-8 For the Lord gives wisdom, and from his mouth comes knowledge and understanding. He stores up effective counsel for the upright, and is like a shield for those who live with integrity, to guard the paths of the righteous and to protect the way of his pious ones. We do not serve a God who is removed or distant from us. We serve a God who defends us, who seeks to reveal Himself to us through creation, through scripture, through our life experiences, and through His Holy Spirit. God is a shield to those whose “walk is blameless”. Our walk with God is blameless only because of Jesus Christ; His sacrifice and resurrection. Sin is so devastating that it cost God His only Son to deal with it once and for all. In Christ we are made whiter than snow, and only because of that grace and mercy are we able to choose living upright before the Lord God. Holy Spirit, lead us to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ! Lord God we praise You and are so grateful that You chose to reconcile us through Your Son Jesus.
