Provide Postal letter boxes at Metro Railway Station because one of the reasons for decline in revenue for postal service is the scarcity of providing Letter boxes at prominent places. Besides, the delayed deliveries of dak are also encouraging people to use courier services. People have to use postal services mainly to legalize the delivery of mail to the addresses that too with lot of difficulties to traverse to these far flung post offices. It is requested to kindly deploy more persons for providing proper services otherwise the courier services will take the advantage of the poor postal services which has been in existence for more than 150 years. Ordinary letters are delivered not less than ten days even from Delhi to Gurgaon. Book post takes even more time. Speed post services is not before four to five days because the dak is first sent to your Old Gurgaon post office from where it takes lot of time to identify and clear the mail for distribution to the different colonies post offices. Speed post postage is Rupees 39 from Gurgaon to Delhi but Rs. 17/- from Delhi to Gurgaon. It is very strange that nobody has cared to look into such a discrepancy. In order to earn good revenue it is suggested that letter boxes may be provided at all the Metro Railway Stations so that more and more people become friendly to approach such places to drop their mail conveniently than to search for a place to do so. There is need to fix letter boxes in the city also besides deployment of more manpower so that the postal service is kept alive
