Psalm 112:1-5 Praise the Lord! How joyful are those who fear the Lord and delight in obeying his commands. Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will last forever. Light shines in the darkness for the godly. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. Good comes to those who lend money generously and conduct their business fairly. Living with integrity, conducting affairs with justice, dealing graciously and lending; these are marks of obedience to the Lord, and they are not the only examples. Our obedience to God begins with Jesus Christ, and believing in the One who God the Father has sent to us to restore our relationship with Him. Living this way not only benefits you, but it benefits your children, and the generations to come. What you choose to do every day affects your children, and my prayer is that all would recognize this and be convicted to act accordingly for their benefit in Christ Jesus. This verse does not mean persecution will not come, and it does not promise a trouble-free life.
