Psalm 139 1 O Lord, you have examined my heart and know everything about me. 7 I can never escape from your Spirit! I can never get away from your presence! 13 You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother’s womb.14 Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous—how well I know it. 23 Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts. 24 Point out anything in me that offends you, and lead me along the path of everlasting life. I love the book of Psalms and Psalm 139 is no exception. this Psalm is just awesome. The above is just a few verses that really hit me this morning. I encourage everyone to read the whole chapter, its only 24 verses and it will only take a few minutes. When we feel alone, we can know that we are not. God knows us intimately, and will always be there for us. When we feel unworthy or not good enough we can remember that we were hand made by God, and that alone makes us special. The last two verses are extremely powerful to me. David asked God to search him. Can i sit here and ask that same question? This implies that as far as he knew, David had no sin that was hidden or not confessed in his life, but he wanted God to point out anything that he needed work on or any sinful act that he may have not taken care of. If I and all other Christians would ask this question and have this heart attitude every day, think of the impact we could have. speak the truth in love and stand for what is right.
