Psalm 143:10 (NLT) “Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God. May Your gracious Spirit lead me forward on a firm footing.” REFLECTION: The first sentence is two powerful statements; “Teach me to do Your will”, “for [since] You are my God”. God has extended an open invitation to all the people in the world to accept Him as their Lord, their God, the eternal Father, their Savior, their redeemer…and so much more. This scripture is directed to those who have said ‘yes’, since there is an acknowledgement that God is known personally as “my God”. And as such, God’s child is asking that God’s kind, polite, generous, merciful, and understanding Spirit lead them forward on ‘a firm footing’. The child of God does not want to weaver in their faith, be uncertain in their beliefs, never disobedient to God’s request of them…they want to be steadfast, unmovable, always abiding in God’s way. We truly serve a mighty God and He proves this to us over and over and over again. Amen. Blessings, Pastor Verona
