Psalm 40:1-3 “I waited patiently for the Lord; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings. And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord.” Ever feel like you are stuck in a pit, being held in by miry clay of problems all around? Maybe painful memories, or a broken heart, or maybe a broken dream. Maybe youre held down by some addiction or a habit, or anger thats eating you up inside. For some its depression, others it’s a life filled with so much sin that you fill that you can never get to where God is or clean enough that He would even take a second look at you, it could even be suicidal thoughts that have held you down. I know as the verse says, it is a horrible pit, it’s filled with the miry clay of sin that keeps holding you in, and you are tired of being stuck in that place of darkness and maybe right now theres just nothing for you to sing about. No happiness, joy or peace in your life at all. Well, I have got some good news for you today, just as King David cried unto the Lord, the Lord heard him and brought him out of that pit, and set him upon a rock, and gave him a reason to sing. He can do the same for you. The same Lord that did that for King David wants to do that for you. In fact, thats why Jesus Christ came. He says in the Bible, The Lord has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners. Truth is, we are not big enough or powerful enough to battle Satan on our own, but someone who is greater than our enemy, our sin our addiction or any problem we face has come our way, and His name is Jesus Christ. The Savior, Jesus, came to do for us what we could not do for ourselves. He came to die for our darkness, our sin, to remove the death sentence we have on our head because of our sins. And when you will cry out unto the Lord and tell Jesus that you are trusting Him completely for a relationship with God and with Him, your life will begin a transformation from the pit, to the rock of Jesus. And when we confess all our sins, the bible says that God is faithful and just to forgive us of them. All the guilt and all the shame of the past is gone; its forgiven. Jesus wants to forgive you today. Would you call upon Him? Receive Him into your heart as Lord and savior? Commit your life to Him from this day forward? It will be the best thing that you will ever do. If I can help, or you have any questions on salvation, message me here. I love you all and may God bless each one of you greatly!
