Psalms 106:39 Thus were they defiled with their own works, and went a whoring with their own inventions. Psalms 106:40 Therefore was the wrath of the LORD kindled against his people, insomuch that he abhorred his own inheritance. Psalms 106:41 And he gave them into the hand of the heathen; and they that hated them ruled over them. Psalms 106:42 Their enemies also oppressed them, and they were brought into subjection under their hand. Psalms 106:43 Many times did he deliver them; but they provoked him with their counsel, and were brought low for their iniquity. Psalms 106:44 Nevertheless he regarded their affliction, when he heard their cry: Psalms 106:45 And he remembered for them his covenant, and repented according to the multitude of his mercies. Psalms 106:46 He made them also to be pitied of all those that carried them captives. Psalms 106:47 Save us, O LORD our God, and gather us from among the heathen, to give thanks unto thy holy name, and to triumph in thy praise. Psalms 106:48 Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting to everlasting: and let all the people say, Amen. Praise ye the LORD. Jeremiah 5:18 Nevertheless in those days, saith the LORD, I will not make a full end with you. Jeremiah 5:19 And it shall come to pass, when ye shall say, Wherefore doeth the LORD our God all these things unto us? then shalt thou answer them, Like as ye have forsaken me, and served strange gods in your land, so shall ye serve strangers in a land that is not yours. Jeremiah 5:20 Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying, Jeremiah 5:21 Hear now this, O foolish people, and without understanding; which have eyes, and see not; which have ears, and hear not: Jeremiah 5:22 Fear ye not me? saith the LORD: will ye not tremble at my presence, which have placed the sand for the bound of the sea by a perpetual decree, that it cannot pass it: and though the waves thereof toss themselves, yet can they not prevail; though they roar, yet can they not pass over it? Jeremiah 5:23 But this people hath a revolting and a rebellious heart; they are revolted and gone. Jeremiah 5:24 Neither say they in their heart, Let us now fear the LORD our God, that giveth rain, both the former and the latter, in his season: he reserveth unto us the appointed weeks of the harvest. Jeremiah 5:25 Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withholden good things from you.
