Public Safety Agencies to Brief Silverado Canyon Residents on Fire Restoration Efforts Town Hall format will provide information and address resident concerns regarding site restoration and debris flow preparedness The Orange County Fire Authority (OCFA) will facilitate a multiple public safety agency town hall meeting to brief Silverado Canyon residents on Silverado fire restoration efforts. WHO: OCFA Chief Jeff Bowman Third District Orange County Supervisor and OCFA Board Member Todd Spitzer USFS Trabuco District Ranger Darrell Vance Orange County Public Works Khalid Bazmi Orange County Sheriff’s Department Lt. Rob Gunzel Orange County Emergency Management Director Donna Boston Orange County Animal Care Director Ryan Drabek WHAT: A multi-agency briefing for Silverado Canyon residents following last weekend’s Silverado fire. In addition to answering resident questions; the briefing will include weather forecasts, restoration plans for acreage damaged by the fire, and an overview of the community notification process and evacuation plans. WHERE: Calvary Chapel of the Canyons, 8002 Silverado Canyon Road, Silverado. WHEN: Tues., Sept. 16, 7 p.m. The Silverado fire started Fri. Sept. 12 at 10:30 a.m. It burned more than 960 acres and was near full containment at the time of this release.
