Public Safety Diver course, Day 2: pool session. Today our students were introduced to the skills needed to rescue themselves, their team mates, and non divers. We set them an underwater maze, blindfolded! they simulated operating underwater in a zero-visibility situation. They had certain tasks to fulfill while traveling safely thru a 3 foot square maze, all the while being entangled by their safety diver! Blindfolded! Talk about a confidence builder. Tomorrow these divers will hit the lake, and complete the tasks set before them in real-world situations. I have confidence in them all!
