I have been reading reams of résumés over the last couple of days, and it has made me realize how incredibly important it is for people to craft excellent résumés when theyre looking for work! You could have the best qualifications in the world, but if your résumé isnt spot-on its doubtful youll ever even get the chance to talk to anyone. There are people who have four-year college degrees who I am passing over because their résumés are riddled with misspellings, whereas some people with much less education clearly made sure that they were applying professionally and competently, which I appreciate and take into consideration. I also appreciate people who have taken the time to tailor their cover letter and/or résumé to include my name or the name of the company. If you just want me to proofread it before you apply to a job, its still better than applying with even one error.
