Publicity hounds attending last night’s White House Correspondence Dinner should have worn togas. The Romans, who made public spectacles of throwing Christians to the lions, also made jokes. The cries of pain from Christians savaged by ravenous lions must have been drowned out by the laughter of the watching audience in the Coliseum. Same attitude, different era. From the fawning mainstream media and Hollywood minus its A-list, a no show because they felt they might be “pawed at” in cages, Obama’s biggest jokes were about ObamaCare and Kenya. According to Britain’s Daily Mail, “The President once again took aim at his critics at the White House Correspondents Dinner last night, with his enemies in the right networks being the butt of most of his jokes.” Here’s Barry, the stand-up comedian on Fox News: “The Koch brothers bought a table here tonight, but as usual they used a shadowy right-wing organization as a front. Hello, Fox News! “Let’s face it Fox, you’ll miss me when I’m gone. It’ll be harder to convince the American people that Hillary was born in Kenya.”.................
