Pumpkin Dog Treats YES I SAID DOG Treats! WHY NOT! Your Dogs need a Chef too! And these are healthy for them! AND TMMC GOES LIVE ON A FIRST YOUTUBE INSTRUCTIONAL VIDEO! And I promise...this is the last pumpkin recipe of the season! We had so many of them this year that we had them coming out our ears! Ingredients: 2 Eggs 1 cup fresh Pumpkin Puree (not Pumpkin Pie Puree!! It has nutmeg in it and that is toxic to your dogs!!) 1 cup ground flax seed meal 1 cup almond flour 2 cups flour 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 cup of water Instructions: In a large bowl, add eggs and pumpkin puree and mix well. Add flax seed meal and mix, then add almond meal and mix well. Add in the flour 2 tablespoons of olive oil and start to mix, dough will then get fairly sticky and hard to stir. Mix as best as you can and then add about 1/4 cup of the water. Use your hands to continue to mix the dough until it comes together. If it feels dry, you can add another 1/4 cup of water. If you add too much water and the dough becomes too sticky, you can add more flour a tablespoon at a time. Dust your workspace with some flour. Turn the dough out to your counter and begin to knead it until it comes together as a nice dense and slightly sticky dough ball. Cover with bowl and let it rest for about 10 to 15 minutes. While the dough is resting, pre heat your oven to 400 degrees F. After dough has rested, use a knife and divide the dough into 4 pieces. Take each piece and roll it out to 1/8 to 1/4 inch thick. Use a knife or a pizza cutter to cut rolled dough into small 1 to 2 inch biscuit size pieces. You can also use a cookie cutter to cut out shapes if that pleases you. Oil foil lined cookie sheets with about a teaspoon of olive oil and then place your cut cookies on cookie sheet. They can be placed fairly close to each other as they will not spread out but slightly rise. Bake in oven for 20 minutes and then remove sheet from oven and flip cookies over and return them to the oven for another 20 to 30 minutes until they are crispy and slightly golden brown. They need to be twice baked until they are slightly golden brown and crispy. Repeat rolling out dough and cutting cookies and baking them until done. This batch I made on the video made about 75 small crispy dog biscuits. Place in a Ziploc bag and they should last for 2 months! Watch my new YouTube Video below and follow the instructions!
