Purchasing As part of the ongoing city reorganization, the Purchasing Department was abolished in late 2005 and a new Purchasing/Warehouse Division was created and added to the General Services Department. The Purchasing/Warehouse Division is responsible for the procurement and warehousing of all material and supplies for the City. From the warehouse facility at 1700 W. Detroit, City crews and departments obtain the materials and supplies they require to accomplish their duties. Bids & Contracts The Logistics Division of the General Services Department is responsible for procuring goods and services for all City departments in accordance with state and local requirements. Additionally, the division is responsible for warehousing material and supplies for the City. From the warehouse facility at 1700 W Detroit, City crews and departments obtain the materials and supplies they require to accomplish their duties. The Division’s goal is to provide open, unrestricted competition to purchase products and services which represent the best value for the city.
