Pure consciousness is energy sans expression or energy at rest. Free flow of this energy gets expressed as love, which is unconditional. Any blockage in this flow gets expressed as Ego, which is conditional - my way or highway. The energy is the same. Love and ego are only about the flow of energy. Unconditional love gets expressed as acceptance. Ego gets expressed as resistance. More the love, more the acceptance; more the ego, more the resistance! In this world of duality - where day follows the night and vice versa- we oscillate between both the extremes; but cant stay at any one end for too long. That is neither possible nor desirable....Just as both day (light) and night (absence of light) are needed for life; both unconditional love - free flow of energy - and ego – resistance or friction - are needed for life. Both scientists and spiritualists understand this truth.
