Purple man 1st appeared in Daredevil Vol 1 #4 in October 1964. In the 2000s he emerged as an enemy of Jessica Jones and her husband Luke Cage. Born in Yugoslavia Zebediah Killgrave was a spy who was accidentally covered in an experimental nerve gas in a liquid form, this permanently changed the color of his skin and hair purple, and blessed him with ability compel others to anything at his command. With the Purple man suffering so many defeats at the hands of Daredevil one of the heroes know to be able to resist his powers, he turned to Jessica Jones an making her his personal mind slave, to the extent she was so badly traumatized she put an end to her days as a super hero. Later in life Purple Man attempted to retire from his life of crime but infamous villains the Kingpin and Dr Doom continued to exploit him. He later attempted to compel the Mutant Nate Gray also known as X-Man to help him conquer the world, but X-Man overcome the odds and defeated him. He then was able to control all of New York with the assistance of Baron Zemo but the Thunderbolts put an end to that regime. He then decided to join the Hoods crime syndicate, and tuns his own casino. it is known the Purpleman has a daughter with similar powers and goes by the name Persuasion. -Ghost rider
