Purpose & Part As a dancer/dance ministry we must not confuse the parts of effective choreography with its purpose. The PURPOSE is to bring to life (with the guidance of thee Holy Spirit) the lyrics of a song,poem,scripture that draws both the dancer and audience closer to God. PART of effective choreography is entertainment value. Our choreography (not just the song!) must be entertaining to first enter the gate of our human senses before the message is delivered and received by the heart to initiate change. Jesus told parables which were a powerful teaching/witnessing tools because they were also powerfully entertaining. Keeping both purpose & part in perspective will lead to more effective dance ministries in the Kingdom.
