Pursuit #2 On August, 28, 2014, at 8:02 pm, a Hemet Officer observed a motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed, in the 500 block of east Oakland Avenue. The motorcyclist ran several posted stop signs when the officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop for the violations. As the officer attempted the traffic stop, the motorcyclist attempted to evade the officer when a pursuit was initiated. The pursuit continued into the east portion of Hemet and returned to the same area where the initial violations occurred. At one point during the pursuit the motorcyclist laid the motorcycle down in the 1200 block of east Oakland Avenue and fled on foot, leading officers on a short foot pursuit where he was captured by the pursuing officers. It was determined the suspect had an active felony warrant out of San Bernardino County for domestic violence, with a bail of $150,000.00. The suspect was later transported to Riverside County Jail and is being held on the $150,000.00 warrant out of San Bernardino, including additional charges increasing the Bail to $250.000.00. Arrested: Brian Hale, 35 years old, Upland resident. Charges: 273.5(a) PC Warrant, 2800.2(a) VC.
