QRL Media TWEED HEADS SEAGULLS v PNG HUNTERS Piggabeen Sports on Sunday, July 13 – 2pm Referee: Clayton Sharpe Head to Head: PNG 1 Tweed 0 Twitter: #intrustsupercup #THSvPNG Live stream: qrl.au/interactive/live-stream.html The PNG Hunters will arrive at Piggabeen this Sunday hoping to become the first team to defeat the Seagulls since round 7 – when they themselves posted a 36-26 victory. Tweed have attributed their experience at Kokopo with bringing the team together; helping to spark their current 10-game unbeaten run. This will be an important game for the Hunters who have slipped out of the competition’s top five with three successive losses. In contrast – the Seagulls have a share of second spot following their recent strong run. In team changes – Cody Nelson has been named but will not play. Luke Dumas replaces Albert Kelly (Gold Coast Titans) in the centres while Sam Irwin and Caleb Binge are in the injury ward with Sam Saville and Cory Blair the new editions in the side. This has also caused some positional changes, with Tom Merritt slotting in a fullback for Jamal Fogarty who will start at five-eighth. For the Hunters – there have also been positional changes with captain Israel Eliab shifted to fullback and Adex Wera moved to the centres. Esau Siune, Joe Bruno and Tiger Emere have been ruled out with injury. The new names on an extended bench are Albert Patak, Timothy Lomai and Thompson Teteh.
