****QUESTION**** We havent had a question in a long time, and this one from Jenny R is a good one. She wrote... Hi. I have a question about dogs and their training. We added a dog to our house about 6 months ago. Ralph is a mixed breed with alot of German Shepherd in him. Hes now about 10 months old. We started socializing him from the first day by taking him with us everywhere. We also have been working on basic obedience and hes catching on well. My husband and I had a serious scare last month, when we were teaching Ralph to stay. He caught sight of a rabbit on the other side of the fence and over he went and was gone. Wouldnt stop or come back and I thought we lost him. After 2 hours of searching we found him sound aseep on the back porch. Thank God. But that started a debate between my husband and me, as to what the MOST important trick to teach him, would be. I said the come command would be the top pick. My hubby said leave it / drop it would be #1 with come as a 2nd. It just got me to thinking, is there a command MORE important than either one of those? And if so, what is it?
