Qatadah was a blind person. And he explained the aayah in Surah - TopicsExpress

Qatadah was a blind person. And he explained the aayah in Surah Ar-Rahmaan where Allaah (swt) describes how the two seas meet with a barrier in between as if he could see with his own eyes. And that made me think, subhanAllaah, Allaah (swt) describes Jannah and Jahannam, and the sahaabas truly believed in them as if they could see them. It is not necessary to always see things with the physical eyes to believe in something. Because, the eye of the heart is more powerful.
