Question: Is the progressive community split between those who prioritise tribute bands and those who commit more to original acts? I ask because I left The Book Of Genesis last year, feeling overwhelmed by managing both The Gift and the tribute project at once..along with all lifes other commitments...). But then, after personal loss put life in perspective, I decided to do those things which I love, and rejoined the fold. Also, since passing Resonance to other hands this year, I have found a big new lease of time/life and find it relatively easy (and enjoyable) to do both projects. But some (even close family) mutter that it is not so credible to do tribute when you are mainly driving an original outfit forward... I think this is a bit cynical/snobbish... But I am interested in others thoughts on this :-)
