Question: What would you change about the Zelda series in the next - TopicsExpress

Question: What would you change about the Zelda series in the next game? Combat akin to Twilight Princess would make me happy. I dont care if certain moves are more efficient or whatever, I just want several flashy ways to dispatch enemies. Its nice to change things up every now and then, even if it means trying to Mortal Draw a bird for 20 minutes. Less dungeon items. Or at least, make some of the dungeon items not specifically items but attachments/upgrades to previous items (see: double Clawshot). Rather than having a bajillion tools that all do a very specific thing, making puzzles too obvious to figure out, Id rather have a couple tools that you have to think outside the box with. Maybe even using them in conjunction with each other, like shooting arrows in a ladder shape up a wall then freezing them with magic to create makeshift platforms. Lame example, but you get the idea. Also, perhaps having the dungeon items not specifically required to finish the dungeon - the Water Temple could have Nayrus spell, for example. That way you have something cool to find but not an end-all tool. Less story linearity. Get 3 this, then 7 that is done to death, I think. Some implied, or even unfocused story elements could work here - referring to the above, say you get Nayrus spell in the Water Temple, Farores in Forest/Wind, and Dins in Fire, then they all awaken your sword to grant you some sweet power (like the sword beam) that wasnt pointed out by your follower. Some sort of surprise would do the series wonders.
