Question from anonymous: Hey everyone. I know there are a lot of symptoms that come with anxiety so maybe you can relate to this. Ive had high anxiety since high school but over the last six months or so I think something has manifested itself. Ive been getting these stinging sensations in my brain due to my anxiety. I had to take this semester off from school because I had such a bad breakdown I couldnt go back. Sometimes I wake up with the pain. Sometimes I go to bed with it. Theyre not headaches or migraines. Its literally like a sting or burning sensation in my brain. Along with that I have bad insomnia and depression. It just eats up my life and keeps getting more debilitating (the pain). People just think that I should be practicing relation techniques and listening to soothing music WHICH I DO anyway. I also workout roughly 5 times a week (I think I may have to cut back because its not helping as much since Im so tired) so Ive tried every natural thing in the book but that doesnt alleviate the pain permanently. Any thoughts on what this might be? Im seeing a neurologist soon and trying to get on some new anti-deps that might combat this. I take Klonopin which keeps it at bay (and for sleep) but that only works for a while. Im just sick of living with this. Thanks guys.
