Question from one of our readers: I would like to know was instruments are in your prophy/SRP set-ups. Unfortunately, we cant all have 12 instrument set-ups for every patient like we did in school. Im a new (and only) hygienist in a small office and the instruments are ALL about to break because they are so old and sharpened down. I have 5 sets that consist of mirror, explorer, probe and cotton pliers. Then there will be old Gracey 1/2 and S204 in one pack, the next will have S204 and a Gracey 13/14, another has no curette at all. Im doing the best I can, but I HAVE to have new instruments. So Im trying to find the best set-up w the least amount of instruments to try to convince my dentist to order some. Any feedback would be very helpful! Please leave your feedback/suggestions below.
