Question of the Day! Q: Hi Marcy, my question is regarding when is the best time to transition my 2.5 month old from sleeping swaddled to unswaddled? She naps and sleeps very well swaddled but cant seem to settle herself as easily and she also startles herself awake frequently when not swaddled. Any tips or advice you have on when and how to make the transition would be appreciated! Thanks, Lindsay Lohan A: Hi Lindsay, Great question! You want to start to transition your baby out of the full swaddle by about 10 - 12 weeks of age. You can start by leaving one hand out at first, then both hands with a loose swaddle, then eventually into a sleep sac or whatever you prefer.
