Question that needs to be asked are there a Coup in Lavantille IN PORT OF SPAIN?? Members of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment have made this clear that they are keeping it personally! WHY ARE MEMBERS OF THE TTR REGIMENT conducting searches on Vehicles and on persons? Notice is hereby given that unless a member of the Trinidad and Tobago Police Service are present with the TTR, any and all searches are Unlawful and hereby illegal! The Law makes it clear that only members of the Police Service can legally STOP and conduct searches, a Police constable can use lawful force in the execution of his duty. The Police powers in this regard relates to the stopping and searching of persons and vehicles, the seizure of articles, executing warrants ant the arrest and detention of person. Members of the Police Service duties also involve taking all steps which appear to them necessary for keeping the peace, for preventing crime, or for protecting property from criminal injury and would further include the duty to detect crime and bring an offender to Justice. Persons who have since experience these unlawful acts by members of the Regiment TTR, can make a Police report and can file a Lawsuit in the High Court of Justice against the State and the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment! Let me be Blunt! I am saying that the any act done by members of the Regiment without a member of the TTPS present is Unlawful! These acts by members of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment TTDF on any member of the Public are unreasonable, excessive and by extension Unlawful. I am of the View that the course of conduct by those members of the TTDF Regiment in Port of Spain and environs are sufficient to take them out of the execution of their duties since the force used by those regimental officers are unlawful! The unlawful application of force by the Regiment on any Citizen, constitutes an Offence and breach of the Rights of the Citizen! - Dr. Smith
