Questions from a homeowner regarding lane-way refuse: Why is this a typical scene in many city alleys, including Ward 4s? Why doesnt the city have a large refuse pick-up day? Why does the city not conduct alley checks? (I asked the by-law officer if the garbage men report refuse like this and he said no. all they do is empty the bins of garbage.) Why should it be up to residents to report these incidents? Why does it take so long before the city does anything? (the mattresses, etc. were in the alley for at least a couple of months before i called 311 onAug.20). THESE ARE KIND OF CONSTITUENT QUESTIONS IM LOOKING FORWARD TO PRESENTING TO CITY COUNCIL AFTER OCT. 27TH.
