Quick pre-shabbos email to JC editor re their ad fiasco and his botched non-apology : Dear Mr Pollard I have read your note about this but frankly find the situation beyond belief. As I understand it the fund for which you have placed the advertisement actually channels monies directly to Hamas. Can you confirm that this is not the case? Did the JC look into this before placing the ad? Otherwise, your defence in your note, that this was simply a commercial decision, holds no water whatsoever. The paper would be profiting from raising funds for the actual benefit of terrorists and murderers. By the same token, would you place an advertisement to raise funds to assist paedophiles, rapists, armed robbers, or violent criminals of any other description, if the paper did not have the spurious defence of supposed libertarian broad-mindedness behind which to hide?
